Dr. Xiaolin Zhou is the director of the Center for Brain and Cognitive Sciences and the Chair of Department of Psychology at
Dr. Zhou has been in charge of several research projects supported by the UK Economic and Social Research Council, Natural Science Foundation of China, and Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He has three lines of research interests. The first one is on language processing, including visual and spoken language comprehension, speech production, and the development of reading abilities in normal and dyslexic children. The second one is on attention and executive functions of normal people and populations with specific impairments, including brain-damaged patients and children with attention deficit hyperactive disorder. The third one is on social neuroscience, particularly issues related to neuroeconomics.
