马来西亚少数族群中的民族语言规划与语言转用

上海外国语大学中国外语战略研究中心校特聘教授、印度学者穆哈吉教授的新著《马来西亚少数族群中的民族语言规划与语言转用》一书近期由荷兰阿姆斯特丹大学出版社出版，该书从社会语言学的视角研究了马来西亚这一多文化多语言的国家中少数族群的语言选择及其原因、人口迁移带来的语言变化、语言认同和语言政策问题，是国际学术界目前唯一一部研究马来西亚语言政策和城市移民语言变化的专著。

作者简介

Dr. Dipika Mukherjee has a doctorate in English (Sociolinguistics) from Texas A&M University; her research focuses on the language patterns of diasporic communities. Her doctoral research explored trans-national issues within a non-western culture, focussing on identity formation, ethnicity, and minority issues relating to gender issues in the Malaysian-Indian (Bengali) community. Her recent work in Malaysia examined the effect of the national language policy on different migrant groups in Malaysia and her co-edited book, National Language Planning & Language Shifts in Malaysian Minority Communities: Speaking in Many Tongues was published by the Amsterdam University Press in April 2011. She has taught language and linguistic courses in the Netherlands, United States, Malaysia, and Singapore for the past eighteen years.

Style and Stylistics:  Literary representations of multilingual identities; literary representations of marginalised voices; Discourse level features and conversational styles in Malaysian English and Singaporean English (Manglish and Singlish).
